El lloc triat van ser uns terrenys situats entre el cap de la Vila i la via del tren, urbanitzant-se un eixample on destacava el carrer del <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Progreso,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> posteriorment batejat per <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Illa de Cuba<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, uns edificis amb fortes coincid\u00e8ncies estil\u00edstiques amb les que podem trobar al centre de qualsevol ciutat cubana.
