El encargado del proyecto fue el arquitecto municipal del momento, Josep Maria Martino, quien dise\u00f1\u00f3 un peque\u00f1o edificio de ladrillo visto y estructura de hierro que estil\u00edsticamente no romp\u00eda con el antiguo mercado.
